4 Gorgeous Girlies! Family Photoshoot in Horsham, West Sussex

From the moment Alan told me on the phone that his family photoshoot would consist of himself, his partner and their FOUR little girls (all under the age of 8) I just knew I was going to love them. What’s not to love about four gorgeous girls?!

I pulled up outside their home in Horsham and was greeted by all four of them dressed up as fairies and was in heaven, I knew I’d be right! Their lovely home made a perfect backdrop for our naturally lit portrait session. It was a sunny summers day and their open plan kitchen / diner / living space was flooded with beautiful rays.

Emma & Alan then showed me through to their summer house, and to be quite honest, I’m surprised I ever left (!), It made a superb studio space for us, and having since revisited them on a social level, can confirm that it makes a great place to hang out, relax and of course loom!

The girls quickly felt at ease and I captured pictures of Ava, Scarlett, Florence and Matilda individually and as a group. Tilda was a little shy, so pictures of her were a little more sparse in comparison, but we still managed a few, especially when Dad was included!

Little Holly (the family dog) also joined us for a few pictures, at the ripe old age of 13, she really took the excitement of the shoot in her diddy stride and it was a joy to be able to capture a couple of photos of Emma’s ‘first child’ too!

From pictures of the girls piled onto the sofa, to hugs and kisses and a few playful shots of them on their trampoline, I was delighted to with the results and was sure I had captured the essence of the Farley-Howell’s, summed up as fun, laughter and love.

I re-visited the family a couple of weeks later to show off their images and they all loved them. Emma & Alan purchased a couple of large wall prints which looked amazing and now that I’ve seen them up on the wall can confirm that they look even better now that they are on display. They also chose a selection of smaller prints which they have framed themselves and have hung on their dining room wall.

I feel so lucky that they have become good friends and I have since seen the family several times on a social level. Each time I go over, we always end up looking at the pictures up on the wall and I think we are all left with the fond memories from that special day.
